with reference to the closing words of

9220 paragraph four of my secret despatch dated the 24th

March and to my secret despatches dated the 8th

January, the 15th January and the 8th March, i have the honour to enclose copy of a memorandum of a con-

versation which I had with Mr. Sun Fo today. I

dictated this memorandum directly after the conversation took place and i am sending copies of it to Minister at Peking and H.M.Consul treneral

at Canton.
